Local Meetings & Chapters
About Our Meetings:

Business Men's Fellowship conducts brief but effective breakfast or luncheon meetings during the work week. We recognize that our world has changed, and the life of the businessman hasn’t gone unaffected. Today’s businessman is busier than ever, juggling work duties with family responsibilities, and if he’s lucky, finding a few precious hours for rest and relaxation.

Our goal is to run a time-sensitive, 1-hour meeting to which you can invite friends, clients, and co-workers. We adhere to a streamlined schedule in order to facilitate everyone's professional needs.

Casual meal conversation presents networking opportunities. Our speaker presents his journey to faith with its highs and its lows. This encompasses how Jesus Christ has transformed his personal and business life and helped him discover his God-ordained purpose.

We encourage chapters to hold meetings during the workweek, targeting the hour a businessman sets aside for daily luncheon and breakfast meetings. Meetings are held in a restaurant or hotel private meeting room.

An example of a schedule for a meeting being held under the aforementioned format, might look like this:

Time Event
11:30-12:00 Meeting Room Opens for Networking & Conversation
12:00 Brief Welcome, Speaker Introduced
12:05 Lunch Served
12:30 Speaker Begins
12:55 Speaker Finished, Meeting Wrapped
12:55-1:30 Meeting Room remains open for Conversation

Operating a Local Meeting:

Business Men's Fellowship meetings are operated by local chapters. Chapter members choose to schedule meetings according to the particular preferences and needs of their locality. Breakfast and luncheon meetings are conducted for men. Some chapters do hold dinner meetings open to both men and women.

One man with a heart for his business community can be the foundation for a chapter.

Starting a Local Meeting in Your Area:

A chapter meeting finds its start in one man who has a heart to reach his business community. Only two or three additional men are needed to begin operating.

1- It begins with you as a Christian man in business having an awareness and burden for men in your sphere of influence who need Christ’s saving grace.

2- Contact the National Service Center at 1-800-263-8981. We will send you a Core Group box containing a variety of BMF informational materials for a planning meeting with the men founding the BMF Chapter. You may also contact us online.

3- Invite other Christian businessmen to join you in prayer at a core meeting to plan an organizational meeting for the new chapter. Divide the tasks to be completed.

4- Next, the core group should find a restaurant or hotel with a private meeting room for a one-hour breakfast or luncheon meeting. Negotiate the use of that facility, noting that your one-hour program has pre-arrival and departure times of up to 30 minutes each. Stress the importance that the program and meal must fit within the one hour that a businessman sets aside for those occasions.

5- The Organizational Meeting: With the meeting time and place established, the core group members should begin to invite other Christian businessmen and men in business to the organizational luncheon or breakfast. Ask those invited to bring other Christian businessmen with them to explore the BMF mission.
